Part one is done, now to start on part two.

Finally managed to get enough moisture in my throat to record the last two Kren lines, which I added in Premiere. Now, I'm just fiddling around with adjusting the length of the delay between the teaser and the title sequence. In the last episode, I forgot to add one, so I want to get it right, this time.

Part 1 is almost done. Everything's pretty much in place, except a couple of lines I still have to do in a Kren voice. Also, I want to try to clean up a couple of things.

Due to the fact that I couldn't find the background images for the TFG control station, which were used in the previous episode, I've had to add the background area to the 3D model of the TFG room and texture the wall computers with graphics taken from the actual episode. I think this might be better, anyway, because I won't be limited to a static background image, so I can turn the camera slightly, if needed.

I uploaded what I have of part one. Most of it isn't composited, yet, and it still needs a lot of work, including backgrounds, lasers and Kren voices, which will be added later.

Here's the temporary link to it, which will stop working, once the episode is complete (a LONG time away).

I've started putting the videos in sequence and adding sound effects, in Premiere. Also, had to go ahead and composite one shot, to help line up movements, since two characters are in it.

I plugged the burner into a different USB port and managed to burn the videos without any problems. They're on this computer, now, ready to be worked on. I'll probably start on that, tomorrow.

I finally started filming on episode 11, this morning. Hopefully, I managed to get most of the video for the teaser done. I'm having problems with my CD burner, though. In order to transfer the raw video from the filming computer to this one, for editing, I have to burn it to a CD. I tried twice to burn it, once using a new CD, but got error messages about halfway through. I'll try again, later.

I started writing the teaser (the part before the title sequence) of the script. I've almost got it done, I just need to think of some dialogue to finish it.

I finished transcribing "Fold". I'll go back and edit it, if I missed anything or forgot to correct something. Also, I changed the fonts of the other episode transcriptions. The boldface and larger font didn't really seem easy to read.

I think I'm going to try to keep the remaining episodes under or around ten minutes long.

Production on "Boarded" begins
I assembled the "previously on The Portal" segment, today. I'll probably continue to edit it, until it looks right.

There's this annoying pop at the very beginning of part 5 that I just noticed. If I hadn't already deleted all of the source video, I'd go back and fix it. If I tried to get rid of it now, recompressing it during export would, no doubt, create more artifacts in the video. I guess it's fine, since it's just one pop. It's fairly loud, though.

The episode is almost done. I've got all of the video in sequence and composited, with the exception of the text frame and ending credit at the very end. I just need to paint in a few lasers and add their sound effects, plus go through part 5 and try to eliminate some audio pops, then this thing will be done. It looks like it'll end up being just over 16 minutes long, making it the longest episode yet.

I've got most of the first two minutes of part 5 done, but still need to work on what I have a little more.

I've given myself a deadline to finish this episode, which is this Friday. Look for it to be online then.

I filmed the remaining video for this episode, but might have forgotten something, so I'll have to film a little more, if I did. I've still got a fair amount to do, in order to finish the episode. It shouldn't be too long until it's done now, though.

One thing that I don't like is how QuickTime makes everything darker than it is. You can't really see the detail in some parts of the video. I think I'll try to adjust the brightness and add a little saturation for the QuickTime version, when I export the episode, to see if that helps.

Over the last two of three days, I made the portal move more naturally into frame, then started and finished the next animated sequence and added appropriate music to it in Premiere. Now, I'll need to make another interior for the battleship in Max, as well as make a Kren refrequencer to house the flux.

Changed the camera angle and rendered the scene, again, in Max. I probably should make the portal not appear so suddenly into frame, as the camera turns, while tracking the battleship approaching it. I'll work on it.

Filmed Lovoski's last scene, in this episode. Also, filmed the final footage with Harris and Skylar. I still want to get one more shot of Paterson. The only filming that's left to do, after that, is of the Kren, plus defense personnel. I still need to do the usual stuff in Max, plus add various effects in Premiere and Animation Shop, but the episode should be finished within three or four weeks, maybe less.

I want to render the animation that I did again and change a couple of things. I have the Kren battleship entering a portal above the Morpheus and it just doesn't look right.

Rendered the next animated shot and added portals and sound to it in Premiere.
